Poor Circulation

Poor circulation is a result of other health issues. It can be due to restricted blood flow to the feet or away from the feet.

Restricted blood flow to the feet can be caused by peripheral arterial disease (PAD), sometimes associated with arteriosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries). It retricts the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the feet and can result in pain, tingling, numbness and cramps.

Varicose veins are a symptom of poor blood flow away from the feet and may result in swelling.

Since poor circulation can be a symptom of many health issues it is important that you discuss this with your family physician.

We can assess the pulses in your feet with a Doppler ultrasound and make recommendations as necessary.

If gradient compression stockings have been recommended for venous related issues in your feet our certified stocking fitter can help ensure the right fit and style that works for you.
